Saravan County in southeastern Sistan & Baluchestan is the native home of Iran's premium Rabbi semi-dry dates, shaped by intense sun, low humidity, cool nights and ancient qanat irrigation.

Palm area ranges from 3,800 to over 11,000 hectares with 24,000–28,000 t annual output. The local Hammin harvest runs mid-August through late October, spreading from warmer eastern groves inward.

Saravan remains Makran's processing, staging and transit hub — the 200 ha industrial city on the Saravan–Khash road anchors modern lines.
