Export Piarom is Iran’s flagship luxury dried-fruit line: thin wrinkled skin fully adhered to flesh, elongated dark fruit and 14–17% moisture behave like long-life dried fruit—not soft rutab nor woody dry dates. Balanced moisture cuts spoilage risk in sea transit and modern retail.

Northern Hormozgan (Hajiabad; Tazraj, Tarem, Daragah, Sirooiye, etc.) remains the reference origin. Foothill desert climate and sweet groundwater boost fructose accumulation. ~4,000+ ha of bearing groves yield roughly 10–15 thousand tonnes/year; an estimated 70–80% is export-sorted.

Tamar harvest runs early Mehr through mid-Aban. Late pick dulls skin color; early pick leaves astringency and uneven moisture. Expansion in Darab, Lar and Bushehr exists, but international buyers still benchmark Hajiabad quality.

2. Ticari derecelendirme ve ISIRI 5311

National standard 5311 splits size into large (max 110 pcs/kg), medium (111–150) and small (>151). Export trade uses super jumbo, jumbo, standard and industrial tiers for pricing and contracts.

Stable skin adhesion, 3.5–5 cm length and uniform dark brown color command top prices in the EU and Gulf. Skin puffing or separation sharply erodes value.

MAP at 20% CO₂ and 80% N₂ in PP or crystal tubs curbs residual respiration and extends retail shelf life. B2B uses 5 and 10 kg five-ply cartons with food PE liners, ISPM 15 pallets, corner boards, five-wrap stretch and max pallet height 1.8 m.
