Округ Шахре-Корд в цепочке пинто
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and the plains around Shahr-e Kord have long been a core origin for high-quality seed legumes in the central Zagros basin. Altitude, wide day–night temperature swings and suitable soils give local pinto beans strong kernel size, shelf appeal and fast cooking performance in national markets.
Recent years brought market-oriented farming, threshing and laser-sort plants, FDA-supervised retail packing and national distributors’ warehouses in Shahr-e Kord industrial zone—yet much canning and premium-pack margin still leaves the province.
Shahr-e Kord, Hafshjan and Dastgurd Imamzadeh plains are main grower hubs; processing clusters sit around the city and industrial park.

Структура рынка и узкие места
Structural raw-bean sales remain the main issue: 50 kg bags leave for canneries and packers in neighbouring provinces, then finished goods return through national distributors at a higher landed cost for local consumers.
No high-volume canning line inside the county makes the canned segment dependent on mother brands and regional depots.
Jahan Yekta Parsian’s proximity to bean workshops cuts maintenance cost for screening lines and enables advanced sorting adoption.
Стратегический прогноз
A dedicated cannery in Saman industrial hub or Shahr-e Kord park would recapture value added. Contract farming between Avishan or Golchin and growers—with Koosha seed—stabilises genetics and cooking quality. Specialty legume logistics could turn Shahr-e Kord from a raw supplier into a southwest Iran trading hub.
- Expand laser sort and hand-pick export via Shahr-e Kord customs to the Gulf
- Long-term forward contracts to smooth harvest-season price swings
- Strengthen organised wholesale and plain-level price transparency
