Meşhed’de endüstriyel asptik ve dökme domates salçası
Over two decades, eastern Iran's processing cluster has made Mashhad a hub for high-Brix tomato paste concentrate, aseptic drums and export flows to Russia, Central Asia and the Gulf — shifting from small retail cans to 220–240 kg salt-free aseptic packs with ambient shelf life.
This report consolidates COA parameters under HS 200290, Hot/Cold Break technology, four industrial geography axes, 13 plants plus six trading networks, and three export corridors.

Industrial processing chain
Intake & preparation
Hydraulic dump from Mashhad, Chenaran, Neyshabur and Fariman plains; multi-stage wash, optical sort, pulper–refiner.
Hot Break
>90°C to inactivate pectinases; stable Brix and low Bostwick for ketchup and pasta sauce lines.
Cold Break
65–75°C to preserve lycopene and colour; preferred for bulk paste destined for re-dilution.
Concentration, sterilise & aseptic fill
Vacuum evaporators to 36–38 Brix; flash steriliser; 4-layer bag in 220 L drum — 24-month ambient shelf life.
Packaging: 4-layer aseptic foil bag in 220–235 kg net steel drum; no added salt.

Market structure & Mashhad wholesale
Mosalla Boulevard and Sepad food complexes anchor eastern Iran's bulk tomato paste trade; factory sales offices and major wholesalers coordinate tonnage and export contracts. Brokers such as Tarkhis-Line specialise in HS 200290 at Mashhad customs and Dogharoon, Sarakhs and Incheh Borun gates.
A typical 20-foot container loads 80–100 aseptic drums (~20–24 t net) on four-drum pallets with steel strapping for Russia, Central Asia and Gulf destinations.
Structural challenges & outlook
Groundwater stress in the Mashhad–Chenaran plain and volatile aseptic bag and drum costs push plants toward maximum throughput and condensate water recovery (often 30–50% raw water savings).
Contract farming, smarter evaporation control and joint export brands in international tenders will define Mashhad's aseptic paste pole long term.
