2. Reefer 40′ stowage optimization

3. Packaging engineering and BCT in humidity
At 85–95% RH required for fresh produce, box compression strength can fall 40–50%. Use kraft liners, semi-chemical flutes and moisture barriers—not blind board weight increases.
Column stacking uses corner posts; brick/interlock patterns can cut stack strength 40–50%. MAP extends physiological life 2–3× and enables sea reefer instead of air for many lines.
4. FCL, LCL and multimodal balance

5. NOR reefer and backhaul
Non-Operating Reefer (genset off) is often 20–40% cheaper than a dry box—ideal for dry dates, aseptic paste, pistachios, cans and honey.
Aligning with inbound backhaul trucks can yield 15–30% discounts on domestic legs to ports or borders.
6. Pre-cooling and ventilation
A reefer is not a blast freezer: warm product drives 6–7 kWh consumption, frosted coils and defrost cycles that spike cabin temperature.

FOB shifts line choice and timing to the buyer—risking dwell in origin cold stores. CFR/CIF keeps carrier, equipment and sailing alignment with the exporter.
